API and advanced intermediates multinational company requires for its manufacturing plant in Cuernavaca (Mexico) a Managing Director of Operations

 Functions:

Full P&L responsibility for Uquifa Mexico to deliver the operational financial and sales targets against agreed cost structure as member of wider Uquifa management team. 

Manage budgets and performance against budgets through performance review processes. 

Focus initially on the development of operational performance improvement in the 2 plants on site. 

Lead the management team on site and contribute to the strategic direction of Uquifa through participation in wider Uquifa and Yule Catto initiatives as required. 

Understand the competition in the world market and advice on how this will effect the products manufactured in Mexico, this is in collaboration with the sales and marketing department. 

Ensure the organisation structure and allocated resources are fit for purpose and effectively optimised. Work with other directors to ensure coordination across the site. 

Be involved personally in all the top priority accounts of the company as required. 

Be prepared to travel internationally as required and expected to be  circa 20% of time. 

Ensure the continuity of quality management for the business by coaching/mentoring and providing development indicatives for all direct reports and others as required. 

Participate actively in all Yule Catto and company corporate initiatives and lead by example. 

Understand the operations ability and limitations and ensure smooth transition from sales to production and delivery. 

Raise the standard and performance of all SHE requirements on site. 

Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required by the company and support the Yule Catto Group.

 Requirements:

•  A degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
•  Experience in a similar position.
• Fluid English.
